Sent it off to the ee repair and surprise surprise after reading all the forums on here apparantley a tiny scratch and the warranty is inavlid. They use the same repair shop as samsung so cant even got through them now. No help from ee apart from its out of our hands we cant change anything.Complaing to the obudsman now. Avoid at all costs the zflip and ee. Been a customer since 2009 as soon as i get chance to leave i will be doing. Anybody else had similar issues and what was the outcome.?

Funny enough I have had the exact same experience today and was spoken to really badly by the staff in the St James Center Edinburgh branch, even saying they were to busy to help me and I was to leave the shop!! My flip is now doing the same and they were trying to say that this was also outwith warranty and wanted a charge of £270 before anyone had ever seen the phone properly! I have contacted Samsung and they have told me otherwise and phone is in good condition, they took my phone through and the back and were away ages saying there was a slight scratch but neither my mum and I could see this. The staff were incredibly unpleasant and incredibly unhelpful and I have also been a customer since 2009. Samsung have advised that it is definitely within warranty within the same shopping centre and have now booked me in for a repair at 2.30pm and are also providing a phone on loan with a security deposit so hopefully all will be fixed soon. They have even stated EE are very well known for writing off warranty when the phone is fine and the customer is not at fault. Also EE cannot locate my contract when I asked for it as well, I have no trust in EE and really do think they are con artists and trying to gain commission and peoples monies, once my contract is over I will be leaving in a flash!

All the flip and fold phones are known for the screen easily breaking. I’ve seen hundreds of people complain about there flip/fold screen breaking easily, it even scratches with you’re finger nail, that’s how weak these screens are. Maybe try Samsung and see what they say but me personally wouldn’t go near a flip or fold phone. They just not durable enough.

No I totally agree Gareth, regretting it now. The colleague from Samsung seems really helpful and said wouldnt leave me without a phone in meantime (EE MAYBE TAKE NOTE!) I am just more appalled about how we were spoken to on the shop floor, also not finding contract is a bit of a concern. I have seen press coverage of EE loosing contracts online although we are expected to pay for a bad service.

Do you think it’s worth contacting Samsung then ? I was told they were the same repair place in Liverpool and that I would get the same result

Honestly I would to be fair as the man I spoke to was really helpful. Honestly don't listen to EE they are trying to get your money, go direct to the repairer Samsung and also explain the service you have had with EE. The man took one look at my phone and was like it's covered and in good condition. We have made a written complaint.

Hi just to let you know I have contacted samsung within warranty and off for repair, which shows ee trying to scam people out of money!!!!!
