Using EE unlock code - Huawei Mate 20 Pro

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help. I am trying to unlock an old phone which is currently locked to EE. I have followed the unlock instructions by providing the IMEI code and I have been given the unlock code, however I cannot figure out what to do next.

I have clicked on the link on the unlock page: https://ee.co.uk/plans-subscriptions/mobile/settings-permissions/device-unlock?status=imeierror

When I click the link for the next steps, I am taken to this page, but I can't figure out what I need to do next.

https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/manage-use/unlock-device/unlock-an-ee-device-to-use-with-another-networ...

Am I missing something obvious?

For those that are still struggling with EE's useless online unlock system that sends you round in circles...

1. Enter your IMEI number and verify

2.   Follow the next screen to get your unlock code.. it should show your phone model and a button... 'Unlock this device' .. click this. You'll get another screen showing 16 digit unlock code.

3. Insert a non EE SIM into your phone and it should pop up on your phone screen requesting network unlock code.

4. Enter the first EIGHT digits of your unlock code, then press Unlock. It should now unlock. Only enter the first 8 digits though, not all 16.

I have the same problem with Sony Xperia bought from EE shop, and called Customer service. They have referred matter to unlocking team. However, very concerned as some posts mention that they had waited for 10 days with no response.
