Hey all,
Not sure if anyone can help, i had a phone update the other day, and every since then, my bluetooth isnt working correctly with my Garmin Watch, now i know there has been issues with Garmin and Google before, so i tried various things, and it will connect, but then drop out and not reconnect, i thought it was the watch, but i have tried connecting my old Samsung Galaxy watch, which did work fine, and they doesnt even connect now.
Anyone having a similar issue?

Hi @MattyP43,
Welcome to the EE Community
Have you tried to reset your Bluetooth settings in System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth? This resets your Wi-Fi as well so make sure you have your password handy to reconnect.
Is it only the watches that are having connection issues on Bluetooth or is it any device you try and connect via Bluetooth?

Hi Alex,
I don't understand it, but since doing another restart my watch is now connected and seems to reconnection if it drops, as it should.
I've not tried my headphones yet, but I will see if they work later!
Thanks
Matt

That being said, it disconnected again, and didnt reconnect, as random as it sounds, its like its when its too close to my phone, which probably doesnt make sense.
Not sure if its my phone or watch, i managed to connect my JBL headphones ok, but couldnt connect my Galaxy Watch SM-R800, which is an old Samsung watch, so maybe not compatible if there has been a software update to the Google phones?

@MattyP43 Ah that is a shame it stopped working again, if you haven't already I would give a try resetting those settings as that may help.
If it is only effecting certain Bluetooth connections rather than all though it does suggest more the devices at fault possibly being incompatible with the latest software update like you say.

Yeah I tired resetting Bluetooth and WiFi like you suggested. Still the same. It's weird. There was an update to Garmin connect last night which I hoped would resolve it, but still happening.

Thanks for trying @MattyP43.
It may be worth having a chat with our tech guides to see if there is anything else they can suggest.
They can run through a diagnostic to see if they can get these devices working, or if it is just the compatibility as @Alex_H mentioned.

Thanks, I suspect it's the watch. Managed to connect my old Samsung and not one disconnect. I emailed Garmin who can me a list as long as my arm of stuff to try.
