How are you trying to watch itv when this happens?

If the ‘broadcast’ channels via IP, you are likely to get the IPC6023 error with that.

Having IGMP snooping set On on the switches is the minimum you need to do, but it may not be enough.

Can you arrange for a direct path from router to Box that doesn’t go through either switch, possibly via WiFi?

Sorry, but I don’t know what uptc or vblocking are 😢

I have connected direct from router to the minibox with of course works but the ee router does not have another ports on it for my network my house is wired with ethernet so I've had to move things around to are sockets up and so reduce the port requirement on the router which is frustrating is an unmanaged witch more likely to work?

The switch itself wouldn't necessarily cause the IPC error because of IGMP snooping as the snooping function directs the incoming stream to the port that requested it. Without IGMP you get flooding as the input stream is sent to all ports.

I think you need to define exactly what your home network is and how it's configured.

thanks its a bit (probably unnecessarily) complicated router > switch >mulriple  ethernet ports 2 of which have a switch  to connect colocated  devices to  also router > wireless access point for wpa 3 and 3 separate networks inc main guest and iot. that is age proposed topology but doesn't work.

You need to ensure that every switch connected directly to your router is capable of, and set to do, IGMP snooping.

(Being an unmanaged switch doesn’t rule out IGMP Snooping these days, as long as it is new enough to have that in its configuration).

This should put a cordon around the router to keep the multicast traffic where it belongs. Should…
