TV Box Pro Switching TV on in the Middle of the Night

Why is my TV Box Pro Switching  my TV on in the Middle of the Night? I can’t find any auto update settings, which I assume would be the problem. Not cool with an 11 month old baby trying to sleep, EE!

This has started happening with my EE TV Box Pro in recent weeks, but during the day. I've come home from work several times and the TV is on, sometimes auto standby has kicked in.

Standby Mode is set to SMART and Deep Sleep set from 12am to 5pm, to prevent the HDD from continually spinning through the day. I wouldn't expect the box to be doing anything while in Deep Sleep, especially not fully switching on.

Disconnecting the HDMI cable or switching the TV off at the mains are not what I would expect to have to do with a modern piece of hardware. This also seems to be a relatively new problem, maybe introduced in a recent software update. Anyone else experiencing this type of behaviour?

@RonnyBatty

My original problem and that of the original poster was switching on on the night causing the TV to come on, I've not seen a daytime switch on but then, I've not looked for it!
I changed the settings to prevent the night time "alarm"!! and set the deep sleep as long as I can at night ( 12midnight to 6am) and I've not had a problem since then, however I do agree, there seems to be an issue with the "box" as it shouldn't need all this hassle to stop it switching on or switching the TV on, and definitely shouldn't require pulling leads out every day to solve a software/firmware issue.

I’ve got the same problem. Comes on every night!
only had the box 1 week, will it settle down eventually?

Unfortunately not in my case:

resolution was a complaint to EE that resulted in cancelling the entire service just a few months into the contract.
unless you’re happy to use the Apple TV box with the associated limitations of that, then it’s really not a worthwhile service in my view.
