Radio stations via red button

I view TV through an internet connection not an aerial.  The radio stations ask me to connect to BBC sounds via the red button, but this does not work.  Should it? Or do I have to open the app via the apps.  Also, is it possible to add other apps to the screen eg radio player so that i can get other stations?

@Newsviewer   Do you have EE TV ?  if you do you can not add apps yourself to the EE TV device.     If this is just through your TV and not EE TV you’ll need to look at what’s possible for your TV.
