Hope its not too long till we get Sky 4k Channels!

Apart from Sports, this is likely to be on demand only via the NOW app.

Nope.

No.  We're not allowed.

I wanted to add a link in the EE TV app, so that it launches the Now TV app on that channel, but we're not allowed to do that either.

I wanted to even just add a message saying how to view the Now TV channels (as many customers are confused when they can't find them in the EE TV app) ... but can you guess?  Correct.  Not allowed.

@DMC2303as a way around from having to keep switching from app to app, you can use a 3rd party TV Guide app which allows you to set each channel to open it's open specific app including the EETV and Now TV apps.... but I'll have to DM you the details as I don't want to break any rules on here.

I’m aware of the app you’re referring to, and as it uses functionality that Apple allows within the App Store, it shouldn’t break any rules here.

It essentially just opens the official EE TV app and shortcuts to a ‘screen’ (or channel) within it. It doesn’t modify any part of the content or app itself - like Apple Shortcuts with a TV guide.

For anyone else reading this - It’s called TV Launcher and it’ll work across any iOS devices you’ve got.

It doesn’t offer the same channel flicking experience, but it works with Discovery+ very well.

You can add in the additional Discovery entertainment channels (included with D+, but unfortunately not carried directly by EE anymore), by pointing it to open with Discovery+, and have them in the same place too.

I just use voice control and say “TV launcher”, and it opens right up.

Thanks for clarifying @SwannyD2.

I think for me it's the best app available that allows the user to amalgamate all of their apps into one simple TV launcher.
Yes it's not perfect but for my use, and I have set it up in a way a non techie person (my other half) can just find her program and open them at a click of a button without having to find the app that's usually associated to it.

The EETV app works very well but as you say if you have Discovery+ subscription with TNT sports or the entertainment channels this is a good way to access the live content via a simple click due to the limitations with EETV.

I’ll never understand why the additional Discovery channels weren’t included as part of the WBD TNT deal.

I’m unable to watch Discovery in HD with EE without paying an extra £6, but I can within the D+ app. I can’t watch Discovery History on EE, but I can within the D+ app… but my D+ subscription is INCLUDED with EE.

Aside from the fact they add value to the EPG, they are carried by other providers as standard.

We've just signed up for EE TV full works with 2 additional mini boxes, will we be able to watch all 3 at the same time as we were given the impression we would be able to when signing up?

I have Apple TV and 2 mini boxes and yes you can use all 3 at the same time 😊

Yes, you can watch them all at once, technically. But you will need enough internet bandwidth to run all three if you are using the apps and/or the IP channels, though EE should have checked this before supplying them, I think.

The other thing is that you may not be able to watch the same app on all of them at once, as these may limit the number of simultaneous streams, e.g. Netflix.

Likewise with Now, you will need Boost to watch on more than one device at a time, and as a new account, you will be limited to two devices at a time.

However, EE TV Now users without Boost can watch on two devices at once, if one is started in the Now app, and the other uses  the interactive Now channels.

Its anybody’s guess if or how that might scale up with the new Boost limit, though no doubt @DarrenDev will know.
