Now TV Boost Ultra - is this available on EE

Just bought a new tv and wanted to watch sky sports on ultra HD (via Now TV)

Spoke to someone at EE and they said I was paying for the UHD package, but the UHD channels are not available on the guide.  When I go to the Now TV app, I can see that my viewing experience is set up as "boost" rather than "boost ultra". Spoke to a bot at Now TV and they said its down to EE, but the person at EE didn't see how this could be upgraded. 

I don't know if there is something more wrong with EEs infrastructure on UHD for Sky Sports. Hoping someone here will know more. 

I can see i have access to TNT Ultimate HDR though.

@NK20026  It’s up to Sky to allow EE to have it it’s their platform. Until Sky approves anything EE can’t offer it.  Ever thought that Sky might not want to allow EE to offer it so those that do want it have to go through Sky so Sky reaps the benefit.

The bigger picture is why would anyone of a sound mind buy now tv through EE

I currently pay UHD £4 till December 

Entertainment again £4 till October 

Movies £6 till February 

Sports (in glorious uhd, dream on EE) £20til next July 

TNT "free" with my inclusive extra EE sim

Also none of this muti room madness , can watch it literally anywhere

I totally agree that you can get really good deals directly with Now TV and I myself have a separate account for the movies, UHD and entertainment.

However I will never fully switch until they can cut that streaming delay. Sorry but I cannot watch a football match that is 2 mins behind live when on EE TV it is like 12 secs behind.

The main thing keeping me with EE rather than going direct to now is I find the EE app to work better than TV launcher on Apple TV. The things that'll make me switch eventually are a) the lack of UHD and b) the lack of ability to hide the bloody SD channels. I'm not sure why these are even still included - who watches the SD version???.

@widdowsonben there are still many subscribers who don't pay for the HD add-on, which means the SD channel is their only option.  We could easily hide the SD variants for those who do have the HD add-on, but that is then likely to cause confusion for those who expect a channel to be in a specific place in the TV Guide.

I'll mention to the Apple TV team about whether that's something that has been considered though - a setting to hide the SD channels when there is an HD one available.

Wow that surprises me in 2026. Cheers Darren very much appreciated if you could. I’d be happy with the ability to manually hide them like on YouView boxes. For me it’s a much bigger issue than the lack of UHD.
