Now TV Boost Ultra - is this available on EE

Just bought a new tv and wanted to watch sky sports on ultra HD (via Now TV)

Spoke to someone at EE and they said I was paying for the UHD package, but the UHD channels are not available on the guide.  When I go to the Now TV app, I can see that my viewing experience is set up as "boost" rather than "boost ultra". Spoke to a bot at Now TV and they said its down to EE, but the person at EE didn't see how this could be upgraded.

I don't know if there is something more wrong with EEs infrastructure on UHD for Sky Sports. Hoping someone here will know more.

I can see i have access to TNT Ultimate HDR though.

It isn’t a matter of connecting wires.
it isn’t a matter of connecting software.
it’s a matter of connecting pigheaded people.
We’ve sent people further into space while this trivial matter has been drawn out. Please lock those pigheaded people in a room until it’s sorted. And don’t say it’s coming unless you have date!

what makes you say that? - things can take longer than intended. don't really think its about pigheaded people... trust me im certain BT/EE would have launched by now if they could, because for some it's a deal breaker and also a customer generator.

Incase anyone wondered, I am the same Biohazard in the 1.6+eetv thread, but needed a new account to get the package I needed. thus I had to rename R-Biohazard... the fun of it.

If I ring NOW and get the UHD Boost, is it possible to watch the Sky Sports in UHD via the TV’s standalone app rather than accessing via my Big Sports package with EE which cannot yet do this?

I can get the TNT Sports Ultimate via my EE package but wondering how to get the UHD for Sky Sports…

You'd need to take a completely separate Sport subscription with NOW and add the Now Boost subscription to that.  You cannot add it to a subscription that is managed by BT/EE.

If you do that, you'll be able to use it from supported devices (EE TV Boxes do not currently support it).

I wonder if we’ll ever see Now Ultraboost on EETV?! It’s truly baffling that a behemoth in the UK TV/Comms market cannot get this implemented.

Good news

It's official

Now UHD will be up and running on 29 February 2027

What's your source @l1feways ?

This hasn't been announced, and I seriously doubt it's true.

You doubt it’ll be ready by February?! That is totally embarrassing
