@PaulRP63 The simple answer is no. It’s part of the agreement to broadcast that service via EE tv

I also have EE TV Box Pro with TV Aerial connected.I can fast forward through ALL Recordings made via Channels in Guide which for me are all Freeview and BIG SPORT Channels.I believe it is only if Channels are delivered by Internet Mode only that they cannot be fast-forwarded,Hope this helps.

You are assuming the OP is in IP Mode, where you would be correct, but even then I think only for ITV channels.
BBC iPlayer is pseudo-recorded in IP Mode, which brings issues of its own, but they don’t have adverts.
In Aerial Mode, no such limitations exist.

I can fast forward in aerial mode but the problem is sometimes the fast forward panel stays on screen throughout the rest of the programme, therfore blocking a third of the screen

Hey there @Jonty1964 😊
Is it only when fast forwarding in aerial mode, following a pause / rewind that you encounter this error?
Have you had a chance to see if catch-up has the same issues?
If you haven't already I'd recommend trying a light reset on your EE TV box too.

I am only in aerial mode and this happens most of the time.
I haven't checked on catch up but then I have never noticed a problem.

Thanks @Jonty1964, as a first port of call I'd definitely recommend this reset, then we can take a further look from there 😊

I did a factory reset and the same problem arises.
