Did you mean:

EE TV box driving us mad.

We came from Virgin to EE recently and the EE TV box is awful by comparison to the Virgin one.

It will not let us skip adverts (even on recordings).

When you pause it (to give us extra time on quiz shows) a message covers the very thing we want to see and lingers, making it pointless.

You can only pause any programme for a limited time.

It's hard to find anything we have recorded. It seems only the last 5 are shown.

It's slow, and clunky, it freezes, it turns itself off, it often displays a different channel to one selected. The sound goes out of sync with the picture regularly. Now it will only pause on certain channels.

Can EE supply us with a better box? Can we purchase a better box? The idea of being stuck with this one till the contract ends is upsetting.

Thanks

Hi @BorJoicy

OK a couple of things to try out: - whilst the home page shows some of your recent recordings

.Your path to  all your recordings is dictated by the current EETV  home page and how EETV  display MYTV pages

So your current route is

go to Home Screen, then move one click left, then three clicks down to My TV then OK

(As the one click left from Home takes you to the second position  (Home) on the sidebar a further three  clicks down takes you to My TV and then you select it.)

When  Pausing  the timebar and some programme info may appear at the bottom when the pause button is pressed . If you press the back button at that point this should remove that overlay and leave the screen clear in a paused state until you decide to press play again.

Fastforwarding thru adverts is inhibited on some channels and their recordings (including ITV channels) when in iP mode due to the agreements in place for those streams to be provided,
