EPG and Play out issues progress

How is the progress on remedying the EPG accuracy and the TNT Sports playout problems progessing.

There were I believe problems with recordings of the Ashes live cricket first day  stopping apparently due the EPG data being changed or updated whilst recording in progress effectively stopping the recording. Also  the playout of the two early   kick off Tuesday Champions League games  presumably not providing the necessary Now/Next data to indicate the programmes starting.

The new system is now in place, and processing future data - the TV Guide should be fully accurate from December 2nd (the first day's data coming from the new system).

Thank you , I can see resolution  of some of the long running issues  from around that date , they do seem to have an issue with Sky Sports F1  channels from midnight Monday 1 December onwards for several days onwards with no real programming showing.

Still a lot of rubbish in the EPGs  for the week ahead and the TNT Sports playout issues seem to be as bad as ever.  So not convince dthat the long running problems have been addressed.

I was a bit too eager with my previous response - the new system is in place for 23 of the channels (a variety of channels from different sources), so that the system could be fully proven to be accurate and reliable. Based on the results of those tests, it'll then be rolled out further (I don't yet know if it's across the rest, or if it'll be increased in batches). I'll update when I know more.

All channels except TNT Sports have now been migrated - data should be fully correct from Dec 11th.

TNT Sports will be migrated in January 2026.

Well I do see most of the significant errors on SKY Sports EPG ceasing at 6am on11th December so that is promising.

However there are some ongoing peculiarities which seem to slipped through

eg someone has confused the World Surfing League with the Women’s SuperLeague  so SKY Sports Foorball HD  has Surfing from the WSL Championship Tour at 6:30pm on Sunday14 December.IMG_2029.png

This weekend I had Formula 1 Free Practice 3, Qualifying and the race disappear from my scheduled recordings, and had to add them back in.

Looking at the data today Saturday 13th December

The Sky Sports Main Event HD  11:30am Live Football  in the EPG guide appears correct to be Norwich City v Southampton but if using the Info button  whilst watching.  It lists Swansea City v Wrexham.

I believe this simply is due to the PRIMARYTITLE meta data being incorrect ie it says Live:EFL Championshiip: Swansea City v Wrexham whereas other metadata fields (SECONDARYTITLE / SUBTITLE) are saying correctly Norwich City v Southampton.

Accuracy and consistency  of the PRIMARYTITLE fields does seem an area that does need further attention.
