EETV apps freezing

Various apps, such as GB News, ITVX, Channel 5 all randomly freeze.

Think the EETV box shows apps via YouView.

i’ve rebooted TV box, router and all software and apps are up to date.

I’m on fibre 900 with EE router

anyone had the same issue and resolved?

hope all is well.

GB news app loads the main menu however selecting a programme I just get the “buffering” circle symbol.

no programme loads, even after 20mins. Think you have fixed it worse…!

im having to view via YouTube as a community member suggested.

maybe the MSM and Government are trying to censor things deliberately

Rest assured nothing we have done has caused this, we have an incident running with Youview to fix it, sorry again for inconvenience. Seems like it's been gradually getting worse and has now given up 😣

did you get this resolved? We are having the same issues, they sent another tv box but it has not resolved our issue… it’s not our internet speed, as the apps work fine on other TV’s in the house that are not going through the EE box.  We were with BT until Thursday and everything worked like a dream until this transfer over 🤯. They say it’s not the TV box but it must be.  I can’t face another hour long call to the technical team…..

The stream provider for GB News have identified and fixed a problem, we're hoping nobody sees this problem anymore, we don't see it in the office but would appreciate everyones feedback to give us an extra level of confidence.

thanks for the update.

The YouView software seems to be the issue then with software conflicts.

had a quick check and can access programmes from the main GN News front page. No buffering circle now.

will check again around tea time. Will let you know later tonight.

thanks for the GB News update.. all seems to not freeze now however, ITVX does.

ITVX app seems to freeze around the adverts interval, though it doesn’t show ads, the TV screen just goes black.

we left it for 10mims and it doesn’t come back on therefore we have to restart (soft start. Power off) and etc.

ive also unplugged the box left 30 secs and restarted… still does it..

probably the YouView software platform issue?

any thoughts on this?
