EETV UHD

When I went to store to take a contract out with eetv they said I would get uhd channels. I’ve since learned that I don’t get uhd channels. There’s literally no uhd channels under the ‘hd&uhd’ category. I was expecting sky sports uhd channels. 

can you tell me why I’m not getting the uhd channels?

Unfortunately I'm unable to help with issues on the web site or EE app - they're a different part of the company. I know there are a lot of issues with the ordering systems that are being worked on.  That shouldn't affect your service though - whether you use the discovery+ app, the EE TV apps, or the EE TV box. They should all work as expected now.  Let me know if you're seeing any issues with them.

Coming soon is a joke. Football season has started and still no sign of uhd.

I best be getting sky sports uhd as I made sure to check and I was told i would be getting it. Same with cinema uhd too. This feels more than an error is deliberate miss selling

On an EE TV package with the EE TV Box Pro, Mini or Apple TV; HD is available on NOW content (Boost), but 4K/UHD (Ultra Boost) is currently unavailable on EE.

As it is unavailable, I think it's fair to say you won't be getting it unfortunately.

If someone told you that you would I am afraid they were entirely incorrect, or if you can point out the sources that you used to check this as they would also be incorrect.

I was gutted to find this out.

I went through the whole changeover process with a salesman who promised all sports channels, including Sky Sports in 4K. That was literally my one main preference. I went through about 9 different people and came to the terms that it’s still very new, especially the Apple TV+. A lot of the staff don’t actually know what they’re selling.

Still, it’s nice speaking to a human after years of being on Virgin. But they at least knew what they were selling.
Isn’t there anyway of finding out how long UHD will be available on EE?

I’ve just come across this topic as I’m interested in Sky Sports in UHD on EE TV.  Sadly, the answer always seems to be it’s coming tomorrow.

I smiled when I read the misleading chat with EE that started this thread.   I too was given incorrect information by the EE sales chat before I moved to EE and it ended up with the ombudsman.  IMHO, do not rely on anything the sales people on the EE chat tell you.  Always ask them to tell you where it is written in the contract.  I assume they are on commission which drives a certain behaviour that doesn’t represent EE in a good way.

Curiously I called up today and I was assured that if I took out EE Full Works - I'd get the 12 Sky Sports channels in 4K.

I found this thread off googling it.

I did not sign up as something in my head nagged - even though he went off to check and confirmed doubly that Sky Sports 4k  is 100% included.

Must be coming soon then , right?

He's going to call me back next week so I'll further question it before I sign up

@mirrors90 there's no timescale for Sky Sports 4k. EE staff are the only ones that know before customers do when it is launched.

The agent you spoke to is 100% wrong I'm afraid, and they have no inside information about it coming soon.
