Hello I’ve recently ordered ee tv and broadband that’s live to save money in sky and also it was the best in area
please can you let me know if it’s possible to order a ee tv mini box and give that to my family ? They aren’t in EE

2 reasons:
1. The channels are delivered over multicast - this is a delivery mechanism only used by BT/EE, and the video streams aren't present on any other internet provider.
2. The TV Box authenticates based on the broadband line it's connected to. When connected to another line, it would pick up the subscription of that line, which wouldn't be entitled to watch the channels if it didn't have an EE TV subscription.

If you did, only a few of the apps on the TV Box Mini would work. None of the TV channels would be present. You'd be paying £5 a month when you could buy a Fire Stick for £25 and get the same functionality.

Essentially my mum likes the EPG functionality of sky but not the price and freeview is too basic as we do like the sky programmes

A Now TV subscription on a Fire Stick or Roku TV would deliver the desired channels, although they wouldn't be offered in a nice EPG.

Thank you
it’s a shame EE locks the boxes to a broadband line / location , sky says they do but they don’t 😂
it’s a shame virgin media isn’t up in our area because their tv is similar to sky and EE TV is the closest we could find ! Thank you for your help though

@Ruthbd on the fire stick, you can press the picture of the TV on the remote and BBC, itv, channel 4 and channel 5 are now included on a simple EPG and they are all in HD.
But if your in Scotland STV isn't yet included which is an inconvenience for myself as I am in a Scottish region. You would still need to go into the now app for entertainment channels which has its own EPG.
