Since the latest EE TV app update, the app will not connect to my BT recordable TV box. I do not subscribe to any BT tv , but I was always able to select freeview programs from the app and send the record request to the box remotely. Advice required.

Sorry about that @Canol - there was an issue when upgrading from the previous app version. This has been fixed in app version 7.1.3 which is in the Google and Amazon app stores as of yesterday, and will be in the Apple App store later today.

I didn't have a problem with the 7.1.1 version on iOS and 7.1.2 is now available.
I don't like the use of the * symbol on the guide to show that a recording is scheduled rather than the previous symbol as it's very hard to see , especially for us older users.

The 7.1.1 version did also have the same issue. Version 7.1.3 is in the App Store now though.
The new app uses an R in a dotted circle to show a recording as pending, however I can see why this may look like an asterisk on a small screen - I've fed this back to the designer.

Thanks Darren.
7.1.3 is now downloaded, but the app won’t recognise my BT box. BT say they can’t support this any more and I must buy a TV package. It’s one thing not supporting the box, but they have effectively prevented me linking to it. There’s a difference from not supporting and just switching me off! ☹️

@Canol your DTR-T2100 is still supported by the EE TV app. Your phone must be connected to the same network as your EE TV box. If the app can't find the TV Box, I recommend rebooting the hub and the TV box at the same time - if the TV Box is connected with powerline adapters, reboot them at both ends too. Let me know how you get on,.

Thanks Darren. I'm away for the weekend but when I get back I will connect my BT box direct to the router - not via the powerline adaptor- I'll reboot the hub and box at the same time and let you know how I get on next week. Hopefully you've found a solution. Thanks again for your attention.

I've also found a minor improvement I can make to the reliability of the device search from Android devices, which I'm testing now. If it's an Android device that you're using then you're welcome to join the beta programme to pick up the update overnight tonight. Simply find the EE TV app in the Play Store, and then scroll down the screen - there's a button there to join the beta. Otherwise, it'll be made generally available next week.

I’ve connected my original old BT box direct to my router. My phone (An IPhone) is connected to the same network via Wi-Fi . I’ve rebooted box and router by powering them down. The EE app still won’t find my box.
