EE TV Box Pro - API

Hi EE

We're an AV integrator and working with a client who owns an EE TV Box Pro (model RTIW387). I've noticed on YouView's Accessibility Policy (https://www.youview.com/policies/accessibility-policy) that it's possible enable the API to emulate remote key presses, and this is activated via a software update:

Is anyone able to provide me more information on that? Maybe some advice on how we can apply for that upgrade and what steps we need to take?

Thank you

I'm not sure why that site mentions a remote API, however one doesn't currently exist (we're trying to get them to create one).  The only option available now is USB HCI.

Hi Darren

Appreciate the clarification, thank you. It's a shame but not surprisng. Thanks for the USB HCI tip. Do you know if the TV box can recieve IR commands too?

Yes, all TV Boxes support the standard YouView remote control commands via IR. There are various sites out there that list the commands (I'm not aware of an official source).

OK brilliant, we can work with that then. Thanks again for the quick replies, much appreciated.
