Can't watch anything on HBO Max except TNT Sports

Since the move to HBO Max, on the HBO Max app, I can only watch TNT Sport.  Try to watch anything else. e.g. The Pitt, I just get a 'Get Access' type message about this not being available with my package.

I realise that I can watch these on NOW app, but what is the situation with the HBO Max app?

Of course, but that doesn't help with the confusion aspect that is being discussed.  Especially advice that says go to Now to get your HBO Max content when there is more content on HBO Max than on Now!

@imacken and I play that squarely at Sky's/NOW's and HBO's doors. Streaming is becoming a real nightmare.

I totally agree!  Why is there not an app that brings all your subscriptions and available content together in one place, instead of the horrible clunkiness of going in and out of apps to find something.

@imacken because usage data is worth money.  If a single app was able to offer content from everyone else, that app would hold all the data and the content providers would miss out.  They want you to use their individual apps, so that they can use your data to make more profit - which is their sole purpose.

@DarrenDev I get that. What I was meaning was an app that can bring all your subscribed apps into its overall control so that if you wanted to watch a specific programme you only need to search in the umbrella app and it would direct you to the relevant streaming app. The whole loading/exiting apps galore to find a particular movie etc. is a complete clunky pain in the a**!

Ah OK, I understand you.

In which case, EE TV is almost there with that.  If you use the search on the EE TV Box, or in the EE TV app on Apple TV, it searches through most of the apps - we're still working on filling in the gaps.

@DarrenDev thanks for that. Yes, EETV has hugely improved in that respect. Still no Netflix?

@imacken I think Netflix are a bit funny about sharing data... 🙄

@SoupDragon57 Hmm, Netflix content was (is?) integrated into the Sky search when I was with them.

@imacken That's interesting. I recall they used too be funny with Apple TV, but perhaps they have loosened their grip in an effort too get traffic?
