Hi @1943mt
You have to press the back button, someone must've thought that was good idea!

If the remote had a back button and a stop button, what would they have done differently?

Surely it's about the end user and whether it's intuitive to use or not? I don't think the end user would say calling a button 'Back' is obviously the button for stopping recordings.
You've saved one button but it's not the best remote to use, exiting from the Recordings menu for example takes a minimum of two button presses because there's no Exit button.
Back to your original question. I'd expect a Stop button to stop a recording and to stop time lapse, Back stops a recording but doesn't stop time lapse, in fact nothing stops it apart from fast forwarding as far as I know, again not exactly user friendly or intuitive.

You can hold down the Back button - this makes it behave like an Exit button.
I'm not sure what the justification was for removing so many buttons from the new remote, but it's been like that a few years now and isn't going to change I'm afraid.
The old remotes will still work with the new boxes, but are IR-only (not bluetooth).

they are rubbish boxes ,much better, and cheaper, on the market.

I think a claim like that requires some substantiation 😢
Are you able to provide any?

That’s got to be the first time I have ever seen that feature pointed out!
Unless it’s been recently added?
