Apple TV - unable to get the longer free subscription offered by EE

I set up an Apple Account (although I'm an Android user).
I was told by EE I'd get 6 months free Apple TV access.
Every time I try to enter Apple TV I get a message saying '1 week free then £8.99 every week after'
Has anyone any advice?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

Despite what it says in those instructions, I’m pretty certain that Apple cancelled my existing direct Apple TV subscription without me having to do anything, and paid me a small refund, the balance of the month I was in.

*Longtime YouView box owner & broadband customer (was BT now EE), but only recently a full EETV subscriber*
