Apple free 6 months offer?

I have recently transferred from BT. I would like to add the Apple TV free for 6 months offer but I already have Apple TV.

The info on EE is conflicting!!

One place says cancel Apple first the other says Apple will sort it and send any refund due once I've signed up?

Can anyone please say which way is current and correct?

Thank you.

@Marg0105  You need to stop your current Apple subscription and once that has finished you then add the free 6 months from EE.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@Marg0105

Just set up the new Apple Subscription through EETV.

If I am right, Apple will cancel the existing subscription, or, at the very least, will give you the opportunity to cancel it as part of the dialogue on the transaction, in which case, do so.

This was on the BT side though, where you only get three months, and maybe the dialogue is different for EE.

If so, and @Chris_B is right, this won’t happen on the EE side; in which case, go into your Apple account when you have completed the EETV signup, find the two subscriptions, and cancel the direct one, leaving just the one that says subscribed through EE.

Which mine says, even though I did it via BT.

No wonder it’s confusing…

Thank you both @Chris_B and Midnight_Voice for your 'conflicting' replies.

Makes me feel better that I've read the rules both ways too! 😂

I've just tried to get on to the Apple site and it won't let me in, so I may well have 2 subs for a while........ nothing in this techy age is simple anymore!.
