1.6 Gbps with TV - When will it be available?

I have seen the question / query on here already but was wondering if there is any update to when EE will offer their 1.6 Gbps with TV.  I have read an article that the delay for EE might be because they have a new WiFi 7 router coming and this might be linked to the delay in being able to get 1.6 with TV.

I am due to renew my BT contract next month and have been shopping around but am leaning towards the EE 1.6 Service.  But without TV I am then looking to sign up for a TV only service with another provider.  If EE TV is coming in the future I dont want to do that as then I am locked in on that contract.

I assume that if I moved to EE 900 Mbps I would be able to upgrade to 1.6 Gbps- when TV is available with this.  But would this incur any one off costs for me (Not monthly contract price change) / give me the new router if available?

All I’m saying is, make sure the everyone who wants to get the 1.6Gb can get it with or without EETV.
Instead of this unknown roundabout, that seems to be in place namely cancelling your current contract and signing a new one with a different email address.

Not totally related to this issue. But I keep on getting a message in the app, it’s time to renew my broadband. And when I look at what’s available all I get offered is what I’ve already got.
So what a waste of time & effort the people who control the app & offers, and not checking 1st at what I’ve got.

It's not manual @robh661 - the system will automatically notify you when your contract is coming to an end. No-one has wasted their time telling you that it's time to renew.
