Hi, we just bought a SIM only handset from the EE online shop and when I tried to obtain an VAT invoice/receipt in order to reclaim the VAT through my company I was told that EE don't do them.
I find this bizarre. If I bought it in a shop I would get a till receipt (with valid VAT references) but not for an online purchase.
How do other business users get round this or does everyone buy their phones through their contract?

Which prefix did your order number begin with - XKO , EE or SO0?
(please don't list your full order number here)

Thank you for your response and attempt to help in this.
Apparently EE are not legally able to provide a VAT invoice for anything purchased in the way we bought this as it is not intended for sale to business. Still makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to me and I doubt anyone will fully explain to my satisfaction.
I just won't buy anything from EE again.
Not sure how we close this off as there is no solution to this problem it seems.
