DRS SMS - But the name in the SMS does not belong to me.

Hello,

I started using EE services approximately 6-7 months ago. However, since I began using my line, I have been receiving calls from unknown numbers, often from different countries.

Recently, I received an SMS from DRS. The name mentioned in the message does not belong to me, and I do not have any outstanding debts anywhere.

This situation makes me think that someone else might have used this number before I obtained it. If the debt belongs to that person, I would like to know what steps I should take to ensure there is no issue associated with my number. I kindly request support on this matter.

Hello @MrVOB

Thanks so much for coming here.

Are all calls unknown?

Does a country show when they are calling?

It is possible that the number you have has been recycled, however, these are usually quarantined and out of service for a while.

The best way to get these numbers to stop calling, is to identify the company and contact them directly OR by giving us a call and requesting a number change.

Hello,

Thank you for reply.

Yes, all those numbers started with +233,213 and +34.

Alright, thank you.

It's also impossible to rule out good old-fashioned SMS spam.
