Is there a virus going about and how do I get rid of it. I get ads all the time. Even half way through a text!!!

Factory reset your device.

Although its likely an app or service you have activate.

No. Not like this. I don't really mind the ads on line or whatever, but
this wakes the phone up when I'm asleep and dominates the screen, often
with audio. Even if I'm just texting, it pops up. I then have to go to my
home page and start over.

It could be worth backing up all of your information and restoring the phone to factory settings.
