I wonder can anyone help...
Recently I have problems connecting to some online applications that do not use browsers, and also with the duckduckgo browser.
Steam : I can log in to Steam and browse the system and get games, but when I try to run one of them, the launcher (thru funcom live services) fails to connect the login details so the launch fails because the game does not know who I am.
Qobuz music streaming : I can log in fine to their web content, but when I launch their app, it fails to forward my login details so the login screen loops around in circles, log in > you are logged it > log in > you are logged in > etc etc. I guess it does not transfer the logged in status of the website into the app, and that's the only way to log into it.
Duckduckgo browser - opening it I just get :
Hmmm… can't reach this page
The connection was reset.
ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
I can't help but think these are related issues, the rest of the internet works fine for me. I have followed a bunch of how-to's on dns flushes, netsh winsock stuff, checking they are whitelisted in anti-virus, clearing caches and cookies, etc etc but I get nowhere. I have already done support tickets for specific apps, but in that typical faceless IT conglomerate manner, I get just sent links to FAQ's that, at best, list the stuff I already did.
If anyone out there has any clues that might fix me, I would much appreciate it.

Morning @andy2552
Thanks for coming to the community.
To get the connection looked into and see why you're unable to access to the online apps and browser, please get in touch with our technical support guides. They can run troubleshooting to see what is needed to get this resolved for you.
Let me know how you get on 🙂
Leanne.

@andy2552 It may be best to change to a different browser as that browser is meant for protecting your privacy and identity, which is great, but sometimes not so great when websites require knowing your identity when it comes to having to login and knowing your information.

@andy2552 - do you have any parental controls settings/VPN/ad-blocking software enabled?
