There are several versions of scam text messages circulating at the moment. We wanted to let you see examples of what these may look like so that you can keep your details safe.
The messages advise that either a payment has failed, a direct debit has failed or that your profile needs to be updated to prevent payment failure. Remember to never log into your account via a link in a message, always log into your account directly.
These messages are fake and have not come from EE, here are some examples of what they can look like.
If you've received one of these messages, or something similar, don't worry. Receiving a suspicious text, email or voice call won't harm you – harm can only come if you interact with it
Just remember these important tips:

Hi @Shadowofdeth,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
That's not a genuine text from EE. Please forward it to 7726 to report it.

Luckily I'm not totally clueless and knew something was up so googled right away which brought me here. But how are these people getting my details and so soon after signing up?
For all their bad network coverage and shockingly poor service in general, I never had these attempts with Three.

Hi @Shadowofdeth,
Sorry, it's impossible to say how the spammers got your number. The messages are usually sent in huge volumes by computerised systems so they may have even hit on your number randomly.

@Mikeyjap : It's a scam! There are many of these going the rounds. EE would never send you a msg asking you to click on a link in order to update your a/c.
Report it to your network provider by forwarding the text to 7726 (S.P.A.M. on your keypad).
That domain, faked to look like EE, was only created today in L.A. Browsers are already warning it's dangerous.

I received a message this morning at 452am saying that EE were unable to take the required fee for my invoice. The only reason I wondered if was a scam was because my payment isnt due in this date. I feel better for having seen this post on the community page.

Glad to see you've managed to get some reassurance here, @Robynm.
Could you forward the message to 7726 please?

Received email today saying that my bill payment failed. Realised that, if I had completed link to update billing details, I would have opened up my bank account to bad people. Looks so convincing though, some people might be fooledSending address lukasz@cez.edu.pl
