Got an e-mail today from "[email protected]", addressed to "Hi, We're sorry we have spotted that you have been undercharged...... etc". Immediately raised my suspicions as my formal first name is normally used. Secondly, e-m from EE come from "[email protected]" NOT "[email protected]". Lastly, it claimed I owed £7 a month for 3 months underpayment of my Netflix Premium sub. (Don't have Premium Netflix, and when I checked my account on my app my last 12 bills were spot-on correct) I was to log in using a link supplied to check my account. So 3 alerts there...I imagine the website is fake and they would just read my username and password and be able to access my account themselves for whatever reason. Beware of [email protected]

It is a fraudulent e-mail, I phoned to check my sub person to person and if there are changes. No changes expected / due, so e-mail def a scam

You are contradicting yourself making it difficult for us to decide:

So is it 'uk' or 'ik'? If the latter, it is definitely not from EE. Or is it just a typo?
Does it have a link in it that it tells you to click? Don't go there but what was the link?
Report spam emails to EE by forwarding the email to [email protected] .

Apologies, "uk", def not "ik" or I wouldn't have received it. Def typo on my part....
Link was to "ee.co.uk/go/login"

Then it looks valid. There is another user that has received a similar email : EE Subscription

I got the exact same email 5 days ago about an underpayment for broadband, i contacted EE directly and they confirmed it was a scam. I was suspicious right away because i dont have EE broadband, but the email looked so real.

It’s not fraudulent. I got the email in May. I got charged this month. Never upgraded my standard subscription, never used the account from when I subscribed to EE TV a year and a half ago because it had adverts. It was included in the monthly price. I logged into a seperate premium account on the EE TV box, which is paid for directly to Netflix. I rang in May, my account showed a standard subscription. The representative I spoke to stated it was a spam email nothing was showing on my account and they knew nothing about it. Said I wouldn’t be charged. I spent an hour on the phone today trying to get around the charges. Got told that EE reps have been told not to refund the charges. Pure fraud.

Hi @Batts1991
I am sorry that you were initially told that it was not genuine.
If you are not happy with the outcome of your call yesterday, you can raise a complaint to discuss this further.
