Promotional team call - scam?

Hello,

Today I received a call from a mobile number (07495947455) stating they were the promotions team for EE.
They were trying to sort out an upgrade deal for me which was very good. They then began asking me for personal details which threw me as I assumed if they worked for EE they would already have all this information.

I am very sceptical of accepting anything over the phone due to having experienced fraud before.

Does anyone know if this is a legitimate number?
Thanks

Hi,

I had a similar experience:
the call was from phone number 02071936059.

they were trying to get me to agree to a phone deal renewal with more data and calls for less money.

they claimed I was paying "more than £10" per month in bills  (but no specific figure when asked as they said they were marketing team and had no access to account details) and that I could switch to a £7 a month deal, renewed for 24 months.

in the course of the call they managed to get out of me my first name, last name and one middle name, and my email address. they seemed to know my phone number already obviously. I got suspicious when they asked about middle names, and very suspicious when they asked about my date of birth, which I didn't give fortunately.
I asked them to prove who they were and they offered to send an email to me
I was sent the below as a supposed way to confirm someone I had on the phone were from EE. the email address "EENetwork <promotions@salescurrysonline.co.uk>" was clearly dodgy so I was pretty sure that was a scam.
Then i went to verify on myEE and t turns out what I pay what they were saying and that finished to reveal the scam

they were really good it's been ages I haven't been fooled for so long.

can you please investigate on this?

Best regards,

From: EENetwork <promotions@salescurrysonline.co.uk>
