Potential Phone hack

Nickwisz

hi folks,

I’ve had to get my laptop wiped as it got Trojan’d. and I’m pretty sure my phone has been infected to. I’ve reset it and changed passwords. There are still glitches and I’ve gone through 80gb of data in less than a week. What are my options…..? Any ideas or solutions would be massively helpful.

Thank you

Nick

Hi @Nickwisz

If someone has your phone credentials then I suggest you set up a new email totally separate and on a clean machine and use that email with two stage authentication (Google authenticator).

It's not possible to use data remotely as you are suggesting unless your phone is tethered.

Factory resetting your device and using your new email to register any apps etc is your best option and leaving your old account until you can ensure they are clear.

Thanks
