I have received a phone call, supposedly from EE, stating that they are swapping from 4G to 5G on Friday and that I habanero being sent a new SIM and the old one will not work after Friday. Impossible to speak to anybody on EE app so wondered if anybody else has heard of this

And a pin was then sent that actually is in my EE feed on my phone - so is this legit? They want to 'convert' the other 3 numbers on our plan as well now...

Hey @GibbsAd.
Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community 😊
We are actually encouraging some customers to upgrade their SIMs so they can benefit from 5G Standalone, but as far as I'm aware we're not ringing customers about this.
I've had a double check too, and this isn't a number that our team would call from, so if you receive any further calls please don't share any personal details or PINs.
If you haven't already, you can also report these calls to our security team here:

Same call just received stating that EE had merged with another company and that my SIM card would no longer connect to 5G from tomorrow so they are sending a new one out and wanted to send me a text to begin the process. When I queried why I hadn't received an email or any notification she replied that many customers had reported the same and there must be an error on their side. I then said that I don't accept direct calls for risk of scams so I'll call EE back on a known number to proceed, to which she replied: "I am not doing any scams! I think you are crazy!!" and hung-up....
Super legit clearly.
Number was: 0203 648 4475
