I have received a phone call, supposedly from EE, stating that they are swapping from 4G to 5G on Friday and that I habanero being sent a new SIM and the old one will not work after Friday. Impossible to speak to anybody on EE app so wondered if anybody else has heard of this

I have received the same cold call today in relation to phasing out the 4g and that a 5g SIM is needed before the end of the month. I stated i would not hand over any information. Shortly  after asking if I wanted to keep my existing number or have a new he then asked for my email address. He said if I wanted to check I could and then call the number back. Is this legit?

Hi @51Lv3rF0X,

Welcome to the EE Community

No that number is not one of our numbers and this does sound like a typical scam. You have done the right thing by not giving out any personal details. You can report the scam call using this online form.
