Hi, I had a phone call from someone claiming to work for EE and there was a discount available for my plan. They asked me to confirm a few details and then read out a 4 digit code to apply the discount to my account. I then got a few texts which turns out they have taken 4 phone contracts out. I have tried contacting you but you claim it’s not fraud. I am unsure on what to do further. Can anyone please help?

@Manaan Someone called you and you took their word for who they said they were you then gave them information about your account.
You’ve been scammed well and truly. You need to report this to the police and you need to inform EE of this. This is fraud
When someone calls you and you’re not expecting that call treat it as a scam and never give out any information. Nothing stopping you from calling that service back by using a phone number and that you know a correct and safe to call.

I called them a few days ago. They said they cannot do anything as the phones were taken out in store. The store is in Woking but I live six hours away. All they have suggested is to go in store. I’m sure if the cctv footage is reviewed they will see I wasn’t there

Hi
They have reopened the case with the fraud team. I have asked to block the new devices and line rentals as they’re not mine. Hopefully they see this as fraud and help secure my account from this happening again
