Regarding scam

  • Hello, I need urgent help.

Someone has created an EE account using my husband email address without any permission. They used their own phone number and enabled two-factor authentication, so my husband has no access to the account.

I just found out that they’ve ordered an iPhone using this fraudulent account, and he didn’t make this order. I believe this is a case of identity fraud.

    What should he do now?

  1. When you create a MyEE a/c a confirmation email is 1st sent to the email addy used which you say is your husband's. Therefore your husband would've received it & would have to allow it or not.
  2. If your husband had already created an EE a/c with this email addy it is impossible to create another EE a/c  with the same email addy.

Therefore there's something fishy here that you haven't told us 😞 .

Hi @Sumsun

Welcome to the community.

I would recommend that your husband gives our customer service guides a call.

They will be able to locate the account and the order and have a look to see what is happening with this if the order was not placed by him.
