A very shaky EE that is making me ill

I am feeling quite sick after being on the phone speaking to EE (when not on hold) from 1.45 until now 4.30 and it became very apparent that the 2 guys I spoke to think I am over-reacting. Also, it seemed as though I was speaking to Sales in Newcastle and wanted to get me off. Firstly, I am classed as vulnerable, I have photosensitive epilepsy that causes regular fits?episodes, especially when stressed. sadly, I am unable to use the full facilities of my mobile and mainly use my laptop. I don't bank online and ensure secure or verifying for any actions. Keeping my landline is also a lifeline. I didn't want to be an EE named customer! Last week I received an email from EE telling me that my Broadband was being taken over. My partner said it was a scam so ignore it. I am always extra cautious and was about to call EE today as the cut off date was 14 May. By chance EE sent me a letter giving me this info again and I had it in the mail today. Also,by chance another EE letter arrived ( that my partner wrote Not known at this address and was going to re-post Aarghh,on naughty step now). different name, on opening  it was to arrange a direct debit,an account no, the named person's mobile no. My partner checks a site for telephone numbers that we do not know to check if they are nuisance calls. This one was flagged for phone contract scams across the various regions in the UK. 2024  was last I think. Also the letter had included a form but it was apparent that the form had been removed. I am deliberately not giving his name and it would be very difficult to announce. It was difficult to explain how fraud has become more sophisticated. All they could say was that the order had been cancelled! other possibilities were a kid, a mistake and other reasons that were so patronising. Other companies would have flagged this to fraud Dpt or transferred me to them. No reassurance. I am so cautious and know of addresses being used to set up companies, utility bills, bank accounts and 2 that I know of in North wales where the house they owned was sold. So, I was told don't worry and if I get another one to ring them. They also said that anyone can set up an account at any address. They asked me if I had had anyone in house or mislaid my cards. I live a life like a hermit since lockdown. I was in Education and tecci smart. I think this is the first time that I have felt patronised for several hours. Should I leave this, I don't really have the strength but I had to post this onto Community as I feel sick to my stomach and quite sad on a sunny afternoon that has been wasted and fraught. Thanks for listening

Good evening @JF351

Thanks so much for coming here.

I am very sorry to hear of your recent experience when reporting this to our customer care team.

If the team have stopped the order taking over your line this will keep your current broadband and landline active.

Information on how this has happened is not something our customer care team will be able to see.

I would recommend letting us know if you receive anything further.

I have also sent you a private message to discuss your recent experience further.

Katie
