Like several others in this community, I have recently been a victim of fraud via EE. An individual opened an account in my name at an address I've never been associated with. They failed to pay their bill, entered arrears, and the account was closed.
Also like others in this community, this has had a huge effect on my credit score and is preventing me from accessing vital credit and mortgage options.
I have spent a total of nine hours on the phone to EE without any capacity to identify who opened the account or how to rectify the records.
My only next steps is to ask our family lawyers to get involved to write to legal counsel and the Ombudsman. But as a last plea for help, I wanted to post on here to see if others have had this problem and if anyone out here could help? Is there another number I can call? Or anyone I can write to?
At this point, any advice at all greatly appreciated.

Hi @joshuacsimons,
Welcome to the EE Community.
I'm sorry to hear you have been a victim of identity fraud.
When you called, did a member of our Customer Care Team raise a case with our fraud team? When did you report it?

Have you contacted the credit agencies?
Thanks
