I received this sms (13.10.24) allegedly from EE (see attached image) that my mobile plan had been terminated due to none payment of invoice....
Image of sms this morning...
Hmmm I thought to my self why would EE send me this? As I pay my bills slightly differently to that advised in the sms, so I cross checked the EE App and hence my post...
EE is this the next iterations of scams... or genuinely another EE glitch..please advise, thanks..

Same thing for me. I think it’s a scam. I checked on my EE app and my latest bill is paid.
good point you make on it maybe being a glitch from EE, but I didn’t want to click on a potentially rogue link.
I made a phone call and it was ok. This wouldn’t have been the case if my plan had been terminated

@andrew_d62 EE would never send you a text with a link in to login to your account only a scammer would try and make you use that link. In general no half decent company would ever do this.
Forward the message to 7726. ( spam ) then the number when promoted.

It's obviously a scam! The link in it is not even to EE (domain ee.co.uk)! There are many of these going the rounds. EE would never send you a msg asking you to click on a link in order to access your a/c.
Report spam texts to your network provider by forwarding the text to 7726 (S.P.A.M. on your keypad).
As to the next iterations of scams, this 1 has been around since time immemorial!

Not just telecoms - no reputable organisation would ever ask you to "click here" to update any details - it's a classic phishing technique.
The text also says your plan has been terminated. I suspect that your phone would tell you otherwise.

Hi...
Yes and already advised friends and family to watch out for this or similar and block the number and delt the message...
EE should trace this number and report it to the police...
