I received a call today to replace my old sim pack to make my services better, it seemed like an off shore phone call and I declined to have it changed. Can anyone advise if they have had the same. Thanks

Hi @Hillsburgh2
We don't call our customers to advise them we need to replace their SIM, you're right in being wary about the call.
You can check if a call is genuine and from us on our How Do We Contact You page.
Or if the call was from our Direct Partners at Phone numbers EE partners will call from.
If you're concerned about unsolicited contact from other companies, you can visit How to avoid and prevent scams including phishing, vishing and smishing for hints on how to block and prevent these.
You can also report the call to be investigated at Report a scam call | Help

You sure it was a SIM Pack that was to be replaced & not the SIM itself. You might get a call to upgrade the SIM to 5G.

Hi, I just received the same thing, ended the call and shared the below comment via the “Report a scam call” link above.
“Call purporting to be from EE due to an urgent requirement to cancel existing SIM card and replace with new. Promise of not to ask for personal details (as they had everything in front of them) but later asked for me to provide memorable word letters to confirm delivery of new sim. I refused on grounds of not wanting to share any personal info on an unsolicited call / unprepared call, to which I asked a complaint to be raised as if this was a genuine EE call then it has been handled very poorly.”

Hi @TimRuss,
Welcome to the EE Community
You have done the right thing both in not giving over any details and then reporting it as a scam, as that definitely sounds like an attempt at SIM fraud.
