I am not sure if this issue has been dealt with on here before - apologies if it has!
I am a BT broadband customer with about 3 months left on my contract. I am also a Sky TV subscriber - that contract also ends in about 3 months. It was my intention to renew my BT broadband at end of contract and take on EE TV via an EETV Apple box to replace Sky.
When I log in to my BT account, I am always offered the opportunity to renew at my existing subscription. I can see no problem in doing this. However, although BT will offer me the added EE TV option, it would only be with a TV Box Pro. Now I love this box, but I already own one, so would need the Apple Box that EE offer and use my BoxPro as a type of "multiroom" box, albeit with recording. I hope this preamble is making sense so far!
Now the real question I am asking here is this. When I am logged in to my BT account, it gives me a link to view "Your EE Offers". If I follow that link, I can then put an order together for broadband, TV and Apple box. I can then go to, and process, checkout. But if I do so, will I open a possible can of worms? Will BT impose early termination charges even though I am still "in the family" or will everything go smoothly as I have actioned this via my BT account?
I am going to phone BT today to ask some of the above but appreciate that there is sometimes more practical advice on here than is available from call centre advisors. I will, nonetheless, feed back here after calling!
Many thanks for your patience!

@snes It seems you have already worked out the best way is to call Customer services.
You should not be charged early termination charges if doing the swap via customer services.

BT want to move their consumer users to EE & concentrate themselves on business. Generally when you move your BB from BT to EE by doing it from the BT end BT will not charge any early termination fees.

One question perhaps to ask is whether BT raise early termination charges and rebate them on or before their final bill or whether they never raise them in the first place in the transfer process.

Well, Mustrum, good call! I did, as promised, call customer services - and how refreshing to speak to a UK person in a UK call centre, something that has been denied me as a Sky customer for a couple of years, and one of the reasons I am leaving Sky.
I explained my intentions and concerns to the agent who listened patiently and explained equally patiently what would and what wouldn't happen. He also found the self same offer that I had found under "Your EE offers" and promised to email me the complete package for me to study and think about. Again, how unlike Sky!
As I was already on the phone to him, and he had explained everything so clearly, I decided to proceed there and then. My BT BB will shortly become EE BB, still through my BT Smart Hub, and my Apple box arrives tomorrow.
So far I have found the whole process both pleasant and problem free and will post back here if subsequent problems arise eg billing etc. But, as Midnight Voice alluded, the transition process is now much better than it initially was in 23/24. Fingers crossed!
I may well post back with a fresh thread if I need advice as to how to set up my Box Pro and AppleTV - but again Midnight Voice has already offered some pointers on this and I can only express gratitude for all the good people on here who so freely pass on their experience and knowledge to noobs like me!

@snes thanks for coming back and letting us know.
Hopefully all goes well, but do let us know if you need any help.

Good Luck ... AT least you've made a good decision to stay with your SMARTHUB 2 🙂 .... Are you changing to EE TV from SKY ? I hope your experiences are better than mine.... keep an eye on your Direct Debits 😞 .

No problem - always useful to feed back for future posters who may be rummaging here!
I've just done my initial set up - reset the BoxPro and connected the AppleTV - and was surprised to note the lack of cables with the package. Normally, for diy installs, equipment tends to come with all needed cables thoughtfully colour coded. Not this one! Luckily I have spare ethernet and hdmi cables, so that minor issue was averted.
I find the Apple box very fast and comprehensive in its offerings and I think I need a lot of practice here! EE TV have dumbed down a lot of the settings for obvious reasons, but I feel I would like a bit more control over what shows on the home screen. For example, I would love to remove the majority of available apps shown as they just clutter the screen! Also, although I have the free 6months Apple+ pass, the box only shows 3 months on the home screen. I did activate the Apple offer with the agent on the phone, do I need to do anything else?
I think I am now ready for the AppleTV tutorial which I missed during set up - is it available on the EE site?
Bear in mind, I have only had things up and running for a few hours so far, so I may well have asked some dumb questions already - but any further pointers/advice etc always most welcome!

Thanks for the heads up! I expect a few glitches, but have my fingers crossed!
I did read on here how the EE router is not as good as the SmartHub2, so that is one reason I was happy to keep it - it works well, and I also own a BT disc which further enhances it.
Thanks again for sharing!
