the sim is giving no singnal

im switching my phone atm and ive put the sim from my iphone 14 into a 13 transfered all the date via icloud backup but my old phone with no sim in it still has the service and my new phone with the sim inside has nothing ive read up and someone mentioned a e-sim but i havew no idea what that is. any help would be amazing thank you.

Welcome to the community. 🙂

An eSIM is essentially a virtual SIM card. Do you know if you set up an eSIM on the iPhone 14? iPhone 13 phones aren't compatible with eSIM, so you may need a replacement physical SIM so that you can use your number with an iPhone 13.

If you're near an EE Store, you can pop in and they'll give you a replacement there and then, or you can give us a call on 150 and we'll send you one.
