Ported number, no incoming calls or SMS, unable to speak to anyone

Hi, 

At my wits end here, hope this is the right forum - i'm unable to receive calls and texts (specifically from short code SMS services) so unable to access many important services that use OTP.

I ported from Smarty and it's been 1 week now. I can make outgoing calls, but no idea if it's my original number that's being presented (tested with friends and they say it shows as my original number)... the phone (Apple) network settings also confirm that, and when I text NUMBER to 150 it confirms my number has ported.

Something is gone seriously wrong with my transfer... the problem is I'm unable to reach anyone, as when I use the 150 service, it directs me to an automated web workflow that expects a tech Guide to call me back... I then get stuck in a loop where the tech guides say they "tried to call me, please book in a slot" and so the cycle continues.,

How am I supposed to fix this? I tried changing the callback number to the original SIM number but that's giving the same loop on the Guide call back request.

Please help!

Do you think I'm better off going to an EE store for help?

Welcome to the community,

If you press 2 you should get through to someone without having to go through all the automated requests.

If you are near an EE store, you could go there and they may be able to help, but I would suggest taking a photo ID in order for them to help.

Are you able to look at settings on the EE App, as you may need to change parental control.

Agreed with any advice to contact EE-CS and speak to a human who has access to your account.

One test worth trying, is to text yourself from your old number. Does it arrive, and is the "from" number correct?

I suspect you'll either need a "network refresh" to be instigated from CS, and/or have you restarted your phone since the port-in was complete?
