Hi
ive used the option within the ee app to replace my esim. Everything works until I see a screen requesting the PIN to activate the esim. Nothing arrives, I tap the resent after 10mins and still no pin received.I have connection to wifi.

Other verification options should be provided, for example you should be able to upload a video of yourself holding ID or something, a few banks do this. The verification might take a while but at least you’re not screwed over like in this case!

Easiest way to the solution is go to store or ask someone to borrow their phone as this physical SIM rubbish is impossible if your phone only excepts esim. You might be lucky to do it online but they read by script and it takes forever. Which they do in store or I borrowed my mates phone which they did in minutes.

If you can get online via WiFi, if you go to EE online chat, they will activate it manually from there end and it will work fine in a few hours, no need to get another real one.

Please log a complaint about this as this is stupid and they need to provide an alternative method of authentication.

Nothing will happen until enough people complain about this. Log a complaint as I have.
I’m stuck offshore on a boat my esim stopped working and can’t get a SIM card and can’t get the OTP.
OTP sent to phone numbers are stupid as not everyone works 9-5 in an office.
I have problems with 2 factor authentication as I can’t always receive an old fashioned TEXT.
Some companies have moved to sending through whatsapp using my Ee number.
