contract without a sim

Ive received a new phone from ee, however the phone came with no sim card? after several attempts phoning ee they were constantly explaining no account was found under the number (sent ee PAC code to port number across from previous network) However, name and address was found. Firstly i was assured sim would arrive friday (7th) now im assured will arrive monday (10th), as to which i would receive a confirmation email, have i? NO. They also put a ticket on the account for it to be resolved? but it seems as if there is no desire to help do this. 

I pay, Phone bill and airtime bill, but cannot use it under any number, get data or do what a phone will do because i have no sim. Please can someone help me overcome this, to what it seems major loop hole no ee customer service can actually do.

It sounds like this was a new connection rather than upgrade?

There's unfortunately no account access on this forum, you will likely be best continuing your valiant efforts to keep reporting this.  You may be able to a get a "replacement" SIM in an EE store, with the appropriate photo-ID.

Can you not use your old sim, how did you phone without a sim. How can you port a number over without already having a sim. 

Sims are sent via the post and reliant on the post office delivering. 

You can can get a sim immediately if you take some ID to an EE store.

yes a new connection, porting over from Three. if i was to go into store, would i get the EE sim (airtime plan) im contracted to. as at the moment im using my disconnected three sim and cannot make any calls etc

Hi, Thanks for response. I am using the phone with my old sim in, however because that contract is terminated i cant make calls or use data.  When buying the new phone/contract i sent ee the PAC code. 

If i was to go into an EE store, would i then be able to activate a sim (airtime plan) i am paying for and access my number ive requested to port over.  As currently im using the phone, with no access to mobile data or phone  calls because of no ee sim being available. Just a phone, old sim and no airtime plan 

for example im paying £42 for phone and airtime plan, but have no airtime plan accessible with my phone

Welcome to the community.

If you did pop into an EE Store, they would be able to access the system to find out what is going on with the account. If they can find the active line for the new connection, they'll be able to give you a replacement SIM card there and then to get you up and running.
