Changing from BT to EE

Had an email today from BT to say that my mobile number has now been transferred to EE.  I am now not able to make calls or use text.  Phone is saying not registered to network.  How long does this normally take? Thanks

Can't activate esim

Accidentally created esim when setting up new iPhone 14.  Physical sim was deactivated, but esim needs activating.  Needs to receive a text to activate the esim.  How do I do this when the phone is not connected to a mobile network?
