I’m in Bosnia and have bought a local BH Mobile SIM. The SIM is recognised, I put the pin in, and can make voice calls to the uk, but I get the following message when trying to use the internet - Could not activate mobile data network. Any clues please?

@Smeaks   You probably need to change the APN settings on the device from EEs APN settings to that network APN settings.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

It’s set as blic.net which seems right.

I’ve done the usual off/on, airplane mode toggle, network setting reset. It doesn’t seem if my phone is locked but wonder if some other EE setting lingering?

Hi @Smeaks

What phone are you using?

Does the SIM work for data in any other phone?

Leanne 🙂

It’s an iPhone 12, sorry should have said.

Yes it works in my partner’s Google phone. And the one that works for her doesn’t work for me either.

Thanks @Smeaks

Could you connect to data with the EE SIM?

Does the SIM have a data allowance?

Leanne.

Chris you were right about the APN settings. It’s supposed to be active.bhmobile.ba

updated it today an all good

thanks

Ian
