Upgraded phone >24hr still not active

I’ve been patient waited 24 hours

used the iOS transfer process, activated phone have the new sim in the phone 

still no signal

cant call anyone as my phone not working

what do I do just wait?

Transferred through three people on chat and it transpires the sim wasn’t activated although the phone was (wierd)
Just put the old sim in and heading on holiday
Couldn’t wait another 24 hours
