Transfer from o2 to EE

I seem to have had a couple of missed calls from EE, but I can’t talk on the phone, and there doesn’t seem to be any kind of live chat option. Last week I placed an order for sim-free monthly package, to transfer me from rubbish o2 to EE. I did the PAC code thing to keep my number, but how will I know when I’ve been transferred? How long does it usually take? Do I need to cancel o2 myself or will the transfer cancel it out? Help please.

There's no reason for you to get charged for another month, billing is done on a per-day basis and O2 should be quite able to then credit you for any unused time, should the port fall into another billing cycle.
