@@I have 3 SIM only contracts for myself and 2 daughters with E
One daughter is going abroad so no longer needs the EE SIM but would like to retain her number for future use.
My wife would like to take over the contract but bring her own number. She has a PAC code.
If I can't do this I will have to pay a £199 penalty.
Any suggestions

This won't be possible. If you daughter takes her no. to another network or even switches it to PAYG to keep her no. on EE it will auto cancel the contract. So there is nowt for your wife to take over.

@Majorjohn if your daughter is going abroad and wants to keep her number, she would be better changing it to pay as you go and activating it here and make a chargeable call or text before going abroad, on the other hand she would be better getting a local SIM card wherever she is going. She also has to remember to use her SIM card at least once every six months, otherwise it will go into hibernation and after a further 3 months will be lost for ever on a pay as you go.
Contract SIM cards are mainly for use in the UK, not long term abroad.
