I have recently been advised to put a lock on my sim on my iPhone 13. I knew nothing about setting a lock - I went to settings, general, mobile data, and was asked to enter my pin. This took me to an option to put in my sim pin. I don’t recall ever having set one. Will my pin be the EE default (1111)? If so and I type that in will I be given the option of putting in a number of my own choosing? If so how do I do that. I would appreciate any help anyone can give. Many thanks.

Welcome to the community, @Sim1899.
Go to Settings > Mobile Data > SIM PIN. Turn it on.
If you have never changed it before, it should be 1111 as default. Once you activate the SIM PIN, there is an option to change it to one of your choosing underneath.
If it isn't working, try not to exceed the number of attempts and contact our Mobile Care team.
Hope this helps.
