I ported my lyca SIM to EE on Thursday, they asked me wait for 24h until the process is complete. And after that , I can now make and receive calls but SMSs are still no arriving?? Need OTPs from time to time, become a headache.
If anybody knows what's happening, please let me know. Thank you.

If the number is disconnected from the old provider, and the correct number is showing on calls, it is something that it would be best to our tech guides about.
They can bring up your account and have a look to see what is happening, and if they need to, speak to our porting team.
If you call them on 150, and wait on the line rather than select the option for the text, you'll be able to speak to someone.

Hi @SecretX
Welcome to the community.
I know how important it is to be able to receive texts, especially OTP when we need so many these days.
Which model of phone are you using?
If you look in the phone settings, is the number showing the correct one?

Hello Michael,
I am using Redmi Note 11. And No the number in the settings isn't the correct one. It is showing the new SIM number came that came with the new EE SIM, not the older one I ported to. It should be showing my older lyca SIM number.

Thanks @SecretX
Are you able to manually change the number?
Did you give the PAC to us on Thursday or was that when the number was due to move?

Port-ins occur the working day after the PAC is submitted, assuming that's during working hours. The "24hour" timescale is a little misleading.
Hence needing to know exactly when the PAC was submitted and/or when your port day was set for.

Yes I gave PAC the time I ported to EE. They asked me to wait for 24h till the port process is complete. And yes I changed number manually and it's been changed in too, but when you make calls and select SIM you want to use to make calls, it shows the new EE number not the older one that I ported from.
I tried make a call on helpline, but for everything they say we are sending you an SMS with all details, and that SMS never arrives. It's a huge headache.

Did you give the PAC to someone over the phone or was it submitted online? @SecretX
The number should have activated fully on Friday if it was submitted on Thursday afternoon.
Are all outgoing calls showing the EE number?
If you get someone to text the EE number or call it, does that come through to you?

I gave it to the EE customer service assistant who helped me in the process. All outgoing calls are showing my my older number that I ported to EE. No, if I get someone to text me , it doesn't arrive. But, surprisingly, I texted one of my friend yesterday, who was also using EE , and I got his reply. I think only EE number can text. Same day I asked my friend who was using lyca to text me, he did but it doesn't arrive. When i call helpline and they say that we are sending you a text with details, that too doesn't arrive. Moreover OTPs don't arrive as well.

It does sound like the number may not have updated fully @SecretX
Has your SIM with your previous provider disconnected now?
Michael
